New York City’s start-up community is growing and changing. In 2008, 95 seed and early stage startups could be found in the Big Apple. In 2009 that number shot up to 150, according to the venture capital firm Union Square Ventures. Many of these start-ups are technology focused, gaining prominence and growth in recent years. In many ways, the scene is reaching a new level, 3.0.
NYC 3.0 is a hub for the tech start-up community in the Big Apple. It’s a place to connect, discuss news and learn about the resources available to entrepreneurs in NYC. The site will feature blog posts, podcasts, videos, and interactives. If you have story ideas, please feel free to contact us with a pitch.
The project will also feature an in-depth multimedia profile on Overtime Media, a startup creating the video-based HomeField application, currently going through the process of growing their technology company and seeking investors. The interactive profile, along with how-to content on starting your own tech company will launch in March.
